Subscriber trust

Privacy and inbox standards for StackDrafter subscribers.

StackDrafter collects only the subscriber and attribution data needed to send useful operating memos, improve reader relevance, and report audience quality in aggregate.

Use data to improve relevance

Subscriber data should help StackDrafter send sharper operating memos, understand reader fit, and report aggregate audience quality.

Avoid unnecessary collection

The signup flow asks for an email address and optional reader-fit context. It does not need sensitive personal data.

Keep sponsor proof aggregate

Sponsor reporting should use delivery, click, fit, and cohort summaries rather than exposing individual subscriber identities.

Subscriber data

What is collected and why.

Beehiiv is the newsletter system of record. The website forwards validated subscriber data to Beehiiv and writes structured conversion events for operational monitoring.

Email addressSend the newsletter, welcome notes, and subscriber service messages.
Reader-fit fieldsUnderstand industry, role, company size, buying intent, and topic demand.
Attribution and cohort fieldsMeasure which channels produce retained readers and useful audience segments.
Conversion eventsMonitor signup flow health without putting raw email addresses into analytics events.
Site analyticsUse Vercel Web Analytics and Speed Insights to watch traffic and performance without adding subscriber fields to page-view analytics.

Subscriber controls

Reader control stays simple.

  • Unsubscribe from any newsletter email.
  • Request subscriber data review or deletion by emailing support@caissonhq.com.
  • Use the reader-fit fields only when the added context is useful.
  • Avoid sending sensitive personal, safety, legal, or confidential operating data through signup fields.

Inbox readiness

Sending trust is part of the product.

  • Newsletter sending domain is separate from core business email.
  • SPF, DKIM, and DMARC are configured before promotion starts.
  • Beehiiv welcome email and unsubscribe footer are enabled.
  • Inactive readers are reviewed before list quality hurts deliverability.

Questions about subscriber data or newsletter delivery can go directly to the publication owner.
